Healthwatch Rotherham

Your voice in local health and social care services, Healthwatch Rotherham is the independent champion for people using health and social care services in our community. It is one of our key specialised projects dedicated to making care better for everyone in Rotherham.

How Healthwatch supports you

While Healthwatch has its own dedicated team, identity, and website, Citizens Advice Rotherham and District is proudly funded by Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) to host and deliver this vital service.

The main job of Healthwatch is to listen to your experiences with local doctors, pharmacists, hospitals, and care homes, and use your voice to improve how these services are run.

Healthwatch can help you by:

  • Listening to your feedback: Whether you have had a good or bad experience with a local NHS or care service, Healthwatch wants to hear it so they can report it directly to the people in charge.
  • Providing information and advice: If you are confused about how to find a local dentist, how to make a complaint, or how to access a care service, the team can guide you in the right direction.
  • Checking on local services: The team has the legal power to visit local health and care services to see how well they are working and recommend improvements.
